ASDL Classic League to kick off season with "Scramble" and Coaches Training on Saturday April 3rd at Hotspur Park.  This is for all players, coaches and prospective coaches!  There will be games (4v4 - 5v5 - etc.), Prizes/Giveaways, etc. - and our coaches training program will result in a FASA Classic Coaches Certificate for all that attend.  Carl Gray, Pete Cinalli, Melissa Boney & Toby Brown will run the coaches edcuation program.  Click Here for all the exciting details

FASA's Professional GK Academy Training Program opens Spring Registration  FASA offers three levels of training - Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced.  Beginner GK weekly training will be held every Monday night beginning 3/22 at Hotspur Park 6:00-7:30.  Intermediate GK training will be held on Wednesdays beginning 3/24 6:00-7:30 also at Hostpur Park.  Advanced (U13 & older) will be every Wednesday beginning 4/7 5:30-7:00 (location TBD).  Danny Huerta is Head GK Coach for FASA and Toby Brown is our Assistant GK Coach.  Professional GK training is done at no cost for all FASA GK's as part of our player development program.   Click Here for details on the program and more!  Players will be evaluated and moved to the appropriate class as needed.  Click Here to Register.

7th Annual Advanced Skills Camp great success!  Though the weather forced the majority of this years camp to be held indoors, we had a great turnout of players and were able to provide quality training with the FASA staff supplemented by Courtland High Schools Girls Soccer team.  Click Here for 2010 Camp Photos.  FASA has donated over $12,000 to local schools with proceeds since the program began in 2004.  2010 Staff included Dave Bailey, Keith Marine, Jen McMaster, Dennis Berry, Joe Herndon, Chris Aleo and Pete Cinalli, Camp Director.

Congratulations to the following four FASA teams that were selected as Fall 2009 ODSL Randy Rawls Sportsmanship Award Winners!  The prestigious award is named after Randy Rawls, one of the leagues original founders and its first President and honors the winner’s sense of fair play and sportsmanship.  Click Here for more information.

2010 FASA College Scholarship Award Program is accepting applications through March 15th.  FASA established the College Scholarship Program in 2006 to recognize student athletes that have been part of the FASA family and have excelled on and off the soccer pitch. FASA awards the scholarship to at least one male and one female high school senior on an annual basis.  We are extremely proud of our student athletes and their positive impact on our local community.  Click Here to go to our College Scholarship page for program details, previous winners and to download the application 

Super Y Tryout Update:  For all players interested in trying out, please email or call your age group coach (click here for coaching staff).  You may be invited to attend an individual practice to tryout, or may be scouted during an indoor game, tournament, coaches recommendation, etc.  These options will result in additional roster spots being offered on an ongoing basis (check website for updates).  We will have additional program-wide tryouts in the future - but suggest you be proactive if interested in Super Y.  Click Here to go to the Super Y home page for more details.

FASA College Showcase All Stars - Congratulations to Tempestt (Bre) Roper and Kisha Gresham for being named to the All Star team at the College Showcase held in Fayetteville, NC on January 23 & 24..  Both played in the All Star match which was held Saturday evening as part of the Showcase event.  Bre & Kisha play for the U18 Elite Impact.  Click here for player video highlights and click Here for their player profiles.

  
 USL grants FASA exclusve Super Y membership for central virginia (Fredericksburg and surrounding areas). Adding USL's Super Y program clearly expands our primary goal of elite player development.  FASA will be one of only 3 clubs in Viriginia to offer Super Y.  Click Here for full press release (PDF)
